Which of the following is true about kinetic energy? As an object's speed increases, kinetic energy decreases. Only moving objects have kinetic energy. Kinetic energy increases as an object's height increases. Kinetic energy depends on an object's mass.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let's take a look at the equation of kinetic energy. \[KE = {1 \over 2} mv^2\] If we increase the speed, we can see that kinetic energy must do what? If we have a stationary object, \(v=0\). What will the kinetic energy of a stationary object be? There is no height variable in the kinetic energy equation. Potential energy increases with height. \(PE = mgh\) The equation DOES have a mass variable in it.

is it ok if i tell you what i think it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it is the last one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can anyone tell me if i'm right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The last one is correct. But one more correct also.
