OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):
i have a doubt,,does the graph cut -y axis somewhere or goes to -infinity at x=0 ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
1/x is the equation
-1/x + c
i leave it to you to find c :P
OpenStudy (anonymous):
not sure it is 1/x @timo86m
OpenStudy (angela210793):
i don't think the equation is 1/x
i think it is y=log x see the point (1:0)

ah yex
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I was thinking of her other post
OpenStudy (anonymous):
sorry *blush*
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Hehe
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Its all good! =) My guess is f(x)=1/2log(x) is that correct?

see u have log10=2
maybe it is y=2logx????
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay =) So you believe the answer I should be getting in f(x)= 2log(x)
OpenStudy (angela210793):
tht was just a though...Being honest I'm not sure
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Oh okay =) Thank you for an educated guess!
OpenStudy (angela210793):
ur welcome lol :P

@dpaInc is the equation for this graph f(x)=2log(x)?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
u there?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yep =) It finally reconnected
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yeah... i'm getting the aw snaps from google chrome...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
it looks like your graph goes through (1,0) and (3, 1) you agree?

Yes
OpenStudy (anonymous):
then it's definitely not y=2logx
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i'm trying to come up with an explanation of how to get the answer..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
this is my answer btw...
y=(1/ln3) * lnx
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay =) I have four options given, one of which is f(x)=3log(x), that was my second guess. Is that correct then? =)

no not that one... that one makes the graph climb faster.. that's what the 3 does...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
what are your other choices?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
f(x)= 1/2 log(x) or f(x)=4log(x) are the options left
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh wait.... this is log base 10!!!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
hope your not mad.... your original answer is correct y=2logx
\[\huge SORRY!!!\]

Thats totally okay! I really appreciate all your help, I am just glad we agree on an answer!! =) lol
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yeah... i usually work with ln and not log base 10... good work simmer...:)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i mean swimmer..

Plots are attached.
OpenStudy (angela210793):
So I was right
