what does Christianity, Islam, and Judaism all have in common? and their differences

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Christianity, Islam and Judaism are all monotheistic religions; that is, they follow one god. All religions believe in the existence of angels and demons; in addition to these two, Muslims also believe in jinn. All three religions point to Abraham as a father in faith: he is a prominent figure in the Old Testament/Hebrew Bible, which is the holy book of Judaism and one of the holy books of Christianity, and Mohammed, founder of Islam, is reputed to have been descended from Abraham's son Ishmael. Differences between these include their view of Jesus-- while Christians believe that he is the Son of God, or God Incarnate, and also the Christ, Muslims and Jews believe him to be a merely a prophet. Their main days of worship also vary: Muslim-Friday, Jewish-Saturday, Christian-Sunday. There are many other differences, if you'd like those, I suggest this website; it seems rather helpful: http://www.religionfacts.com/islam/comparison_charts/islam_judaism_christianity.htm
