The walking catfish, or Clarias batrachus, is an invasive species that can migrate over land. Which of the following describes the most likely long-term consequence of the introduction of the walking catfish? The walking catfish will become unable to survive in its native territory as it continues to migrate. Dissolved oxygen levels will increase as more fish are able to breathe and survive above water. Native fish populations will decline and possibly become extinct as they compete for food and space. Larger fish will overpopulate due to the presence of an additional food source.

Good question, it almsot has me stumpped. I wanna say A, but lemme look up some stuff

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think the problem is the native species will decline due to competition for food and space.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why would they need to compete for food and space if they can just "walk" to a different enviornment.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If it leaves it original territory, it will change a lot while its gone because while it was there it kept a certain amount of balance, so when it leaves changes occur and it can no longer survive.
