12-5x/10x^2-24x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please show how it is done

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first, factor out -2x from the denominator so the denominator looks like: \[-2x(12-5x)\] now cancel out the 12-5x on the top and the bottom and u end up with -1/2x^-1

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

factorise the denominator \[\frac{(12 - 5x)}{-2x(12 - 5x)} = \frac{1}{-2x}\]

Thank you, I wasn't sure how to factor it. Both of your answers helped.

ur welcome
