f(x)=1/x f(x) is defined for every x except 0. (because 1/0 is undefined) g(x)=x+3 This function is defined everywhere, because you can put any x to get a defined y. What do you mean by f▫g? f(g(x))?? 1/(x+3) will be undefined only when x+3=0, so when x=-3.

correction for second line: every->everywhere
