short answer: find the quotient: 6x^3-x^2-7x-9/2x+3 someone please help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You are doing polynomial long division. The answer should be 3x^2-5x+4-21/2x+3.

not sure that is all the problem says as above. Can you show me the steps that you took to come up with this answer please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you make it into the equation with the long division way with the whole symbol setup, etc. Then you put 3x^2 into the equation and get -6x^3 to eliminate the 6x^3 in the equation and you get -10x^2-7x. Then you -5x because that eliminates the -10x^2 and you get 8x-9. So you +4 because it eliminates the 8x and you get -21 as the remainder so you always put the remainder on top of the divisor so your answer is: 3x^2-5x+4-21/2x+3... Hope that helps!

yes thank you very much
