OpenStudy (experimentx):
because anticlockwise is defined as positive
OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):
that isn't very intuitive is it?
why do clocks not go the conventional way?
OpenStudy (experimentx):
it's merely a choice ... like we consider proton to be of positive charge and electron to be of negative charge.
OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):
well it is damn well bad choice,

OpenStudy (experimentx):
lol why??
OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):
i demand that all clock from hence forth be set in retro motion , and all matter to be immediately be replaced with anti matter to prevent confusion with electron/positron currents .
OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):
!
OpenStudy (experimentx):
rotation of hands of clock has nothing to do with time ...
OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):
i havent mentioned time

OpenStudy (experimentx):
why would matter be replaced with antimatter??
OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):
well then the positive current would be due to positrons moving and hence current is the flow of positrons, rather then the reverse flow of electrons
OpenStudy (experimentx):
you can alternatively say ... positive current is due to flow of proton or simply holes in semiconductor
