The first QUESTION should be D because to have a good speech, one need extensive research, practice, revision and edition. The second Question should be D because a good speech should begins with INTRODUCTION not a joke, an excuse or a positive comment.

I'm with Emeri on this one! I often begin speeches with jokes or positive comments, as do most other public speakers I know or have seen. NEVER start with an excuse or an apology - unless it's a funny one that turns out to be a joke! :)
