wth! Pressure and stress are defined the same way? F/A? or at least compressive stress is the same as pressure, i think, by using the perpendicular force. Can someone confirm this...?

Yes, they are defined the same way. Stress is a measure of internal force per unit area and pressure is external force per unit area...units are of course the same.

Good :) To be a bit more precise, stress is force per unit of cross-sectional area. Pressure is force per unit of surface area.
