Find the exact value of the radical expression in simplest form (Below)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write each term under each radical as some other term squared.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For example, \(s^4\), you can write that as \((s^2)^2\).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So for s^8, i would do (s^4)^2 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and lets say for 25s^8, would I make it like (5*5s^4)2 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, 25 is \(5^2\), and \(s^8\) is \((s^4)^2\), so \(25s^8\) is \(5^2(s^4)^2\), which you can just write as \((5s^4)^2\).
