That is why i said the question should be in Mathematics. You are not sure of your answer. There is no guess work in mathematics. You need to show steps.

There are 30 marbles in all. 20 of them are neither green nor purple, so your odds of selecting a marble that is neither green nor purple are 20/30 or 2/3. Hence your odds of selecting a marble that is EITHER green OR purple -- the opposite -- is 1 - 2/3 = 1/3. The answer is c.
