I need help... A chemist has 100ml of a solution that is 9% acetic acid. If the chemist adds 50ml of pure water to this solution, what is the percent concentration of the resulting mixture ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How many mL of acid are there in the first solution? How many mL of acid are there in the second solution? How do you find concentration?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's why I need help cause it is cofusing. I don't understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Am I right 13.5%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can find concentration, by dividing how much of something there is by the total amount. How much acid is there? How much water?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and no, that's not right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 13.5/150?
