question is in the pic

OpenStudy (btaylor):

multiply the first term by (x+5)/(x+5), and you have a common denominator of (x^2-25)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you factor the denominator of that second fraction, you'll see the what you need to multiply that first fraction to get common denominators.. what is the denominator factored?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be 8/(x+5)(x-5) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep.. so now you can do what Btaylor says ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you guys :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the least common denominator is (x+5)(x-5).. and you'll need to multiply the first fraction by (x+5)/(x+5) to get the same denominator...
