For future reference, "stoma" is the Greek word for mouth. If you see "stoma" or "stome" in a scientific name, the name probably refers to something that looks like a mouth (e.g. stomata in plants, which are little openings that look a tiny bit like mouths) or functions like a mouth (e.g. a Paramecium's cytostome, literally "cell mouth", is the region where it takes in food), or has an actual mouth with special properties (e.g. Cyclostomata, literally "round mouths", a group that includes lampreys). The word "stomach" is also derived from "stoma".
