How do you find the height of a hill if you know the mass and acceleration ?

the mass and acceleration of?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the mass and acceleration of a hill.. If a 110kg man was sledding down a hill at an acceleration of 5 m/s^2 whats the height of the hill ?

This question does not make sense. First of all, nsutton asked a very reasonable question. You have no need of the mass of the hill, and the hill is probably quite stationary, so it doesn't have a relevant acceleration either. You mean the mass and acceleration of a man. However, assuming your man is on the surface of the earth, the height of the hill would not affect the rate at which he accelerates. Nor does his mass, in fact. Perhaps you would like to know the angle at which the hill is sloped? Otherwise, the question is somehow incomplete.

m*g*h=gravitational potential energy or m*g*h=gravitational work done

Its the mass of the man not the hill aha.. But im not really sure about the question either..
