What is the difference between scalar and vector???

OpenStudy (diyadiya):

Scalar quantity is a quantity which has magnitude only whereas Vector quantity has both magnitude & direction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A vector has direction, a scalar does not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Vector has direction a specific one but scalar is like a scale with no direction you can point it anywhere but vector has a fixed direction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Scalars are in \(\mathbb{R}\), vectors are in \(\mathbb{R}^{n}\) where \(n\) is greater than \(1\).
