Mulyiply or divide. State any restrictions on the variables. c+1/c-5 divided by c-2/c^2-7c+10 a.(c+1)(c-2)/c-2,c=5,2 b.(c+1)(c-2)/(c-5)^2(c-2),c=5,2 c.(c+1)(c-2)/c-2, c=2,2 d.(c+1)(c-2)/(c-5)^2(c-2) c=5,2,2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(c + 1)/(c - 5) * ((c - 5)(c - 2))/(c - 2) Now just cross cancel. c + 1 is what's left. Also, the restrictions occur when the denominator equals 0. Therefore, the restrictions are 5 and 2.

I got B.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'd say it's A, but I'm confused because none of the answers are fully simplified.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. Would A be considered more simplified than B in your oppinion.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B. Is an impossibility because when dividing fractions, you multiply by the reciprocal, so the (c - 5)'s would cancel out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

true, thanks bro. Im going with A.
