6(p^2-1)=5p 6p^2 - 6 =5p 6p^2 -5p -6=0 So I'm using the quad form. 5 +/- sqroot 25-4*6*-6 so 5 +/- sqroot 25-14 divided by 12 is this correct? If so where do I go from there?

Parth (parthkohli):

You should try the quadratic formula here :)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

rewrite as 6p^2 - 3p - 2p - 6 = 0

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

^it's easier to factor that

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

rather than bloodily doing trial and error

Parth (parthkohli):

\( \color{Black}{\Rightarrow x = \Large{-b \pm \sqrt{b^2 - 4ac} \over 2a} }\) If you ever have probs factoring, try the quadratic formula.
