what is 53,030,000 in scientific notation?

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Writing some no. in scientific notation requires the no. to be written with exactly one significant digit prior to the decimal, and the rest of significant digits after the decimal. The 'no. of zeroes" or decimal places can be adjusted by multiplying it with an appropriate power of '10' so, 53,030,000 = 5.303 x 10^n Now what would 'n' be in this case? Since I moved the decimal 7 places to the left, n=7 so, it becomes, 5.303 x 10^7
