eubacteria vs. archaebacteria ? please help me!
Eubacteria and archaebacteria are two very different kinds of bacteria. They both have their own identities, in which they use in their daily lives. Archaebacteria - Composed of a single cell and they are called prokaryotes. These are usually found under extreme conditions, such as volcanic vents. It is know, that archeabateria are one of the oldest, and of the first organisms, that were found on earth. This was when these archaebacteria, were able to survive in poisons gases and unbearable heat. The archaebacteria are categorized into three groups: In the insect kingdom (phyla)--include the methanogens, the halophiles and the themoacidophiles. Eubacteria - Complex in structure and they are found in neutral conditions. You will find them in a variety of conditions, such as the humans body or in foods. Eubacteria have four phyla groups: Cyanobacteria (bacteria that are photosynthetic in nature). They can use energy from the sun, to prepare themselves with their own food. Spirochetes--these are usually called gram negative bacteria. They may be parasites, that live off host or that have symbolic relationships with a host. These can live by themselves. Gram positive bacteria--these include yogurt and bacteria that can give you a sore throat. They are even pathogens--an infectious agent or a germ. The differences: Eubacteria live under neutral conditions, while archaebacteria live under extreme living conditions. Archaebacteria are single celled creatures, while the eubacteria are more complex in their nature. Hope that helps! n_n
