I'm trying to figure out stuff about linear equations in two variables. Graph. 8x - 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 8x - 6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=y+%3D+8x+-+6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need help with the points though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hint: in \(y=ax+b\), \(a\) is the slope and \(b\) is the \(y\)-intercept. So, here, the slope is 8 and the \(y\)-intercept is -6.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you let y = 0, you when the point where the line hits the x axis; if you let x = 0, you get point where the line hits the y axis. then unite these points with the line

hmm? Not sure that'll work for my homework
