Factor, if possible. 25y^2+50y+25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take out the GCF of 25 first.. it should be easier then to factor the trinomial...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, factor out the GCF. 25y^2 + 50y + 25 25(y^2 + 2y + 1) Then, find factors of 1 that add up to 2. You can also factor this trinomial if you're familiar with the perfect square trinomial pattern. 25(x + ?)^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just find the factor and put it where the question mark is.

OpenStudy (theviper):

25y^2+50y+25 =>25y^2+25y+25y+25y =>25y(y+1+1+1) =>25y(y+3)

OpenStudy (theviper):

Am I right?

OpenStudy (theviper):

Tell me plz @Calcmathlete

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@TheViper The last term doesn't have a y. It's a constant remember? 25y^2 + 50y + 25 25y^2 + 25y + 25y + 25.

OpenStudy (theviper):

Opps! k @Calcmathlete
