In a large bag of Skittles®, each of the 5 colors (red, orange, yellow, blue, green) occurs with the same probability. You reach in and select 2 candies. Find the probability that exactly one of the candies is orange.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/5 because there are 5 colors one of them being orange and they all have the same probability.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you looking for the probability of one of those two skittles being orange?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right, but I'm picking two Skittles so wouldn't it be 2/5? Idk, I'm stupid lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, i still think it would be 1/5 or really 2/10 because there are 5 colors and you have the same chance of picking each color.

Okay, great. Thanks for the help :D
