Jason and Kyle both choose a number from 1 to 10 at random . What is the probability that both numbers are odd?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please help

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

1, 3, 5, 7, 9 there are 5 odd numbers the probability that one of them picks an odd number is 5/10 -> 1/2 therefore..the probability that BOTH numbers are odd is... \[\large \frac12 \times \frac12\]

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

got it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 1/4 right

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

yep
