what is the simplest form of : t^3-t / t^3 + 5t^2 - 6t

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

factor out the t

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand where the slash is... can you use some brackets please...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the slash means Over sorry . .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know it does but where is the separation occuring...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[t ^{3}-t \over t ^{3} + 5t ^{2} - 6t\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you... but the same thing that @ganeshie8 said applies you have to factor out the t in the numerator and denominator. And after you factor the t in the numerator and denominator am sure that you will notice there is some more factoring that needs to be done.

Are you able to do that?
