What is conversed and what is not conserved in a nuclear reaction? Q2) what is conserved and what is not conserved in elastic and inelastic collisions.? @.Sam.
i know this question is dumb when only 1 hour is left in exam. lol. But still i want to clear my only confusions.
Q2) KE is not conserved in inelastic collision
@saifoo.khan i only know this link ... please see this for reference , will help u thanks http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/elacol.html
Energy is always conserved. Kinetic energy is not conserved in this case since it's converted to heat energy.
Q1? @.Sam. what about momemtum, speed?
@mathslover , thanks.
During collison between two masses the following occurs; The mass loss of one mass is the mass gain of the other. The gain in time of one mass the time loss of the other. The velocity loss of one is the velocity gain of the other The loss of linear momentum of one is the gain on the other. When the smaller colliding mass loses mass because of its deformation then the total energy between the two masses is not the same as before collision it is said that the collison was inelastic.
all other is conserved in collisions
so in short words, Inelastic -> everything conversed except KE. (everything includes momentum, speed) elastic -> EVERYTHING is conserved (momentum, speed, ke) ?
What about Q1?
yes
Atomic number is not conserved in a nuclear reaction
Mass and charge is conserved in nuclear reaction

it must be D.
Alright bro, i gtg now. Exam in 56 minutes. Good bye. :) THanks for help.
bye :)
you taking variant 2?
In a nuclear collision, relativistic energy is conserved (includes kinetic energy and mass energy); momentum is conserved too, electric charge is conserved.
your right @Vincent-Lyon.Fr , momentum is conserved. C the total number of neutrons is not conserved
