A tangent to a circle circle passes through the center of a circle. Sometimes, always, or never? I believe it's never, correct?

Last night, I had to stay hear hours to just get a simple yes or no. My dad had a baseball bat and threatened to beat me to death if I didn't get off the computer.

D*=Diameter.
OpenStudy (callisto):
Tangent of a circle = line touches the circle = one intersection point with the circle.
If it passes through the centre, there are 2 intersection points with the circle => not tangent anymore.
So, it's never.
