Assume you are rolling two dice; the first one is red, and the second is green. Use a systematic listing to determine the number of ways you can roll a total less than 11 on the two dice.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 2 ways?

OpenStudy (kropot72):

No. The sample space for the outcomes when rolling two dice has 36 combinations. You can start your listing with the combinations r6,g6. Put the 6 combinations starting with r6 in a column which will have 6 combinations. Then start the next column with r5,g6. When you finish the listing you can find the number of combinations that give a total lees than 11.
