Graph the line that passes through the point (-2, -1) and has the slope 2. How would I graph this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so you know that the line passes through the point ( -2 , -1 ) so draw your axis, and locate this point, then mark it with a dot. Next it says it has the slope = 2; What does the slope mean? the slope means that the change in x / change in y = 2 so we know that for each value of x and y, it increases by +2 so to figure out where the next point is, simply add 2 ! (-2 + 2 , -1 + 2 ) *** this is your next point repeat the above steps, each time the next point is located 2 plus the old point. |dw:1339743681730:dw|
