One of my students really struggles with ERO's. I taught him how to calculate the inverse using determinants and cofactors, but I'm unsure how to teach him reduced row echelon form in another way besides ERO's. My question -- Is there any way to reduce a matrix to row echelon form without using ERO's?
well teach him the very basics first. Why ERO's work. Teach him in normal non matrix math first so he can draw the link.
wat's ero?
@A.Avinash_Goutham elementary row operations. @timo86m That wasn't my question
u got a standard method to reduce a matrix to reduced row echelon i guess
but u shd use ero's sry........
Well if you just wanna know how to calculate it then that is all. If you understand the more basic first you can get creative. I guess lol.
whats the application of ERO's? just beacuse its some concept,,its not necessary that he should know.. co-factor method is the easiest and quite effective,,i would have avoided ERO in this case..
