Help? Given the circle having a diameter with endpoints (-2, 1) and (6, 7). The equation would be (x-2)^2 + (y-4)^2 =
is it 17?
You have to first find the mid-point of those two points. And the midpoint of the diameter will be your radius. This is the equation of a circle, which in standard form is (x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2. Where (h,k) is the center and r is the radius. Thus, you have to find r so plug in x and y from same set of the points and solve for r. When i did that I got zero, but am a little unsure about this question.
hmm. okay. thanks anyway:)
You're welcome. But do you understand the method to my madness? Lol... maybe bump it again and see what someone else says...
ah! woops, i closed it already. i understand. i think.
turns out it was 25. :|
But it says given the circle having diameter
