Need help VERY badly.
Expand (x + 3)6 using Pascal’s Triangle
How many terms do you need to go?
it does not say how far to go..
Well look at this picture. See how every number is the sum of the two numbers right above it? http://www.mathsisfun.com/images/pascals-triangle-2.gif Just do that!
I know how to do it. I just dont know how to start it... since the equation is (x+3)^6
Just pretend (x+3)^6 is 1 and try to do what's happening to 1. So you can put that equation in all along the sides of the triangle and at the top where it says 2 you put in 2(x+3)^6 because you're adding them together since (x+3)^6+(x+3)^6=2(x+3)^6. So basically all those numbers are just your coefficients!
Look at the row that starts with 1, 6, 15, ... The first value in that row (1) will multiply with x^6*(3)^0 to get 1*x^6 = x^6 The second value in that row (6) will multiply with x^5*3^1 = 3x^5 to get 6*3x^5 =18x^5 etc etc
Thank you!!!!!
