protein

Those monomers are known as amino acids. When amino acids are combined to form a long chain, it is known as a polypeptide and when this polypeptide goes through folding and all necessary conformational changes it is known as a protein.

I don't think I fully understand the question, because lipids, nucleic acids, proteins, and carbohydrates ARE all macromolecules. But the question is asking what macromolecule is made up of those. Do you mean to ask which MONOMERS make up those four macromolecules?? fatty acids are the monomers of lipids. nucleotides are the monomers of nucleic acids. amino acids are the monomers of proteins monosaccharides are the monomers of carbohydrates.
