What is the slope of the line 5x + 2y = 10? -5/2 5/2 2/5 -2/5 none of the above none of the above

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

To get the slope of a line first, make sure the x and y are on the same side of the equal sign. Then get the coefficient of x, divide it by the coefficient of y, and then negate the whole thing. That's the slope :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its -2/5

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

nops..not really.. what @terenzreignz means in layman language is bring the given eqn in the form of y = mx + c here,,co-efficient of x is the slope of the line,,try again..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5/2 then

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

i hope you're not randomly guessing?? :O :P what eqn you made?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-5/2 is the slope
