I'm stuck, please help :P (there's a picture with the proper equation format in the discussion post below)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I've got sinA = 5/13 cosA = 12/13 sinB = 8/17 and cosB = 15/17

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright you hae restrictions 0<=A<=90 for cos(A) what does this tell you about what sign cos is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does it mean that cos will be positive? This is the part that throws me off

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it means that cos(A) is positive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Awesome, so cos(A) = 12/13 is correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

90<=B<=180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now what is Sin(accounts to y variable) when it's between 90-180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would it also still be positive because sincose is positive in the second quadrant?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes sin is positive cos is negative in the 2nd due to it being the x values

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, so cos(B) would = (-15/17)?
