Should Steps 1 and 2 be switched or are they in the right order?

I think I have the right order, but something tells me that they should be switched

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They are in the right order, sin(2x) is a double angle, which equals 2sin(x)cos(x) Also, normally sin^2(x) is equal to 1/2(1-cos(2x)) the added two onto 2sin^2(x) is to cancel out the 1/2 in the id. Then in step 2, the minus sign carries over into the (1-2sin^2(x)) and then solve, you're correct.

Oh, I knew it! (: Thank you so much. I love your explanation.
