What is the difference between a postulate and theorem in Geometry?

A theorem is a thing that you can actually prove.. but a postulate is a thing that is a fact .. you can't really prove it.. but it just exists ..

Postulates are assumed to be true, they are not proven. Theorems are true, because they follow from postulates (and possibly other thoerems)
