Is this your spanish homework? I can show you how to use those kinds of "aquel" and "ese" words correctly in sentences. First, I'll show you every choice you have: aquel - that (masculine; singular) aquella - that (feminine; singular) aquellos - those (masculine;plural) aquellas - those (feminine; plural) este - this (masculine; singular) esta - this (feminine; singular) ese - that (masculine; singular) esa - that (feminine; singular) esos - those (masculine; plural) esas - those (feminine; plural) Look at letter A on your homework page. The answer to that one is aquella. It means "I like THAT house." This is because casa is a feminine noun. LA casa. Get it? And we're only talking about ONE house. So it is FEMININE, and it is SINGULAR. That's why you gotta say "AQUELLA," not "aquel." Look at letter C on your homework page. The answer to that one is esos. It means, "I prefer THOSE sweaters." This is because sueter is a masculine noun. EL sueter. Get it? And we're talking about MULTIPLE sweaters. So it is MASCULINE, and it is PLURAL. That's why you gotta say "ESOS," and not ese. So, to do your homework, you have to ask yourself two questions. 1. Is the noun feminine or masculine? 2. Is the noun singular, or plural? Then choose the word that fits.
