How GPA is calculated? What if we only have grades..
GPA is a weighted average of "Grade Points" , weighted by credit hours. So, if the number of Grade Points(4 for A, 3 for B , etc...) you get in class one is GP1, and class one is for CR1 credits, class to you get GP@ for CR2 credits, etc.... Your GPA will be GPA = CR1*GP1+ CR2*GP2 + CR3*GP3+ ... ------------------------------- CR1+ CR2 +CR3+ ...... where the ... means you keep going until you run out of classes.
What are credits?
Like i had only 8 subjects. And we only get grades.
Some schools give you two credits for one class, and onl;y one for others. You probably should assuime that each class is the same, so jusyt assume all the classes are for one credit.
Does this seem legit? http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1080425
Different schools in the US count the points for a given grade diffeerntly, there isn't really a standard. Many schools just do (A=4 B=3 C=2, D=1, F=0), some schools do + and -'s, but they vary as to how much a + or - counts numerically, still others just do ABC and F.... I'd just stick with the simplest one, it'll give you an answer in the right range at least....
Ok. thanks.
