@tiaph @Shane_B mybe??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is your question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is on the top @naasei

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Match each work or phrase with the example that best describes it. thats the question for 5 thing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you need to find what these mean and they will help you answer the question a. Deductive Reasoning b. Conjecture c. Inductive Reasoning d. Counterexample

OpenStudy (shane_b):

I'll admit that I don't like these types of questions :) However, I'm certain that none of them are counterexamples. My best guess for these is: c,c,a,b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are u sure??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1.d. Counterexample. YOu conclude that your teacher will come in a red shirt, but he comes in blue. 2.c. Inductive reasoning. You based that conclusion on your observations of your teacher. 3. b. Conjecture. It is a conclusion that is not proven right or wrong but it appears correct. 4. a. Deductive reasoning. Based on the general statement of your teacher coming in a red shirt everyday, you further deduce that it is her favourite color.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much .... to all my TEACHERS

OpenStudy (shane_b):

I'm fairly sure...but I have my doubts on tiaph's definition of deductive reasoning.

OpenStudy (shane_b):

If you see your teacher come in a red shirt everyday, you're can't deduce that it's her favorite color. I think that's still conjecture.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:( I GOT 8 OUT OF 10.. Is that Bad? just because of this reasoning.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep upon looking at it again. I have second doubts about my own answer. 3. a. Deductive reasoning. Because it is a conclusion based on the general statement of what you know (about the requirement to wear the red shirt) 4. b. Conjecture. Concluding her favourite color out of the shirts she wear may be true but still remains unproven.

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Oops..I didn't see the blue shirt part of the first question. That one was obviously a counterexample :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Trexy, sorry about that.

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Well, 8 out of 10 isn't that bad :P

OpenStudy (shane_b):

I should've read that first one more closely...sorry about that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hahah.. its fine. good thing about having second attempt.. so i might have perfect score for this.. so yeah.. thanks @tiaph and @Shane_B
