A regular decagon is shown with isosceles triangles drawn within. What is one way you could find the measure of the exterior angle of the figure? Add the base angles of the isosceles triangle together to determine the measure of the angle. Add all the angles in the triangle together to get 180˚. Find the measure of the non-base angle of the isosceles triangle which is congruent to the angle. Subtract the base angles of the triangles from the interior angle measure.

tips?

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

Are there any you think are false and why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the measure of the non-base angle of the isosceles triangle which is congruent to the angle.

thats the right answer I think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is not choices 2 or 4

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

Right, and why isn't it the first one either?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

will, you would not need to add both base angles if you are trying to find an exterior angle...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right?

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

yes, that's not the greatest way to say it, but it's true.
