What is the English equivalent for the word Señora?

OpenStudy (jackellyn):

Ma'am i suppose

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's a title for married women. So like Jakellyn says, you can say ma'am, or Mrs.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"Ma'am", if you don't know her name or last name; "Mrs." if you do.

These answers are mostly rubbish. Ma'am is never used in decent English except in the most formal circumstances as for example when a junior police officer addresses a senior female officer, In most circumstances the Spanish señora when used by itself is ignored in a translation into English. If for example you try to gain someone's attention by saying 'señora' then the english translation would be something like 'excuse me'.
