OpenStudy (day_2010):

Okay so what is a simile, metaphor and idiom? You have to start there.

Other*

OpenStudy (day_2010):

Okay... so if you know that, you can say, We have reviewed similes, metaphors and idioms so far this semester. I have learned similes mean this..... metaphors mean this..... and idioms mean this..... and then give examples in your paragraphs.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Example of a metaphore: time is a thieft

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So basicaly your saying just define them & maybe give an example

OpenStudy (day_2010):

Yes that is an excellent example "time is a thief". Then you can explain what it really means. 'Time is a thief' means .....

OpenStudy (day_2010):

Basically you explain what each of the parts of speech 'YOU' listed, then give an example, and explain what that example is. Your caught on. :)

OpenStudy (day_2010):

Make sure to introduce your paper with your three points and you will do fine. :)

OpenStudy (day_2010):

I hope you understand. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Introduce with my three points?

OpenStudy (day_2010):

Yes. FOR EXAMPLE: So far, this semester I have learned to use similes, metaphors, and idioms. It is a really generic example, but with your own knowledge you can make an excellent one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay I think I get it

OpenStudy (day_2010):

Okie Dokie! Good Luck! ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (day_2010):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
