can a sniper shoot through the telescope of an enemy sniper straight thro into the skull?
Is this really a physics question?
Sir...there is no question in the world without physics.i watched this in a discoverychannel show..they say the bullets trajectory could get curved and the lens could deflect it ineeded better answers....
It can be done because it has been done, by Carlos Hath[bogus word filter]. It isn't a physic questions because most physics questions assume a spherical sniper, and real snipers are in better shape than that... Bullet drop of the length of a scope should be negligible (but you can calculate if you wish), the confounding factors are construction of the scope and optics within them which has changed a lot over the years and has no relationship to classical physics.
It can be done, probably not very easily with today's scopes, because there's too many things inside, that whould deflect or stop the bullet. However with the old scopes, there's very little resistance, It's basically a tube with a lens.
