You will write an informal letter to the editor for this short essay. You should pretend that you are a person living at the end of World War I. You will write a short (one paragraph minimum) letter to the editor of your local newspaper and try to make an argument “for” or “against” the League of Nations. You must clearly state why you think that the United States’ joining the League would be a good idea or not a good idea. help!

This sounds like a really cool topic, and though I'd love to help, it's best to see what YOU come up with (rather than somebody else). That's what learning's about. It also doesn't get messy with plagiarism. What we can do, however, is give you resources with which you can begin. - Research what Kant thought of a League of Nations, and why; if this is a high-school essay, your teacher will be really impressed! - Main themes might include isolationism, the balance of world power, and what the effect on the next 25 years joining would have. - What was the prevailing sentiment towards international relations during the post-WWI period? Were Americans (especially the President) optimistic or pessimistic? Hope it goes well!
