Step 1) Solve for y x-2y<1 x < 1 + 2y x -1 < 2y 2y > x - 1 y > 1/2x - 1/2 ------------------------------------------------------- Step 2) Graph the line y = 1/2x - 1/2 You do this by plugging in values of x to get corresponding values of y. This will give you points that lie on the line. Make sure that this line is a dotted/dashed line ------------------------------------------------------- Step 3) Shading Once you have the graph of y = 1/2x - 1/2, you shade above the line. This is because there is a greater than symbol in y > 1/2x - 1/2
