Find all the real zeros of the polynomial. Use the quadratic formula if necessary. P(x) = x^4 - 7x^3 + 14x^2 - 3x - 9
Have you heard of the rational zero test?
You might find this useful: http://www.sosmath.com/algebra/factor/fac10/fac10.html
You can test -3 and it will be a double rational zero. So, use Briot-Ruffini Method.Did you tried this?
Excuse me, the corret is +3. Sorry
I need someone to do it so I can their steps. I know how to do it….. but obviously took a wrong turn somewhere.
It would be better for you to list the steps you took - then we can try and spot where you made that wrong turn.
I dont have time for typing all of that right now.
Look this attach file. Help?
Now, do you know Briot-Ruffini method?
No
3(-1) is not -4 in the divison
