what are Tutorials?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Tutorials are posts that users have made to help teach other users some basic concepts to help them out in their subjects. Most tutorials are done in math, however there are a few scattered here and there. @lgbasallote has made the best (and most) tutorials that I know of so far. :) He has links to them in his profile. :)

Parth (parthkohli):

People sometimes make some guides for users when they tackle a question many times. These are called Tutorials. Some examples are of: @lgbasallote @mathslover @AccessDenied (only one)

Parth (parthkohli):

Oh yeah, I have made some too.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

some people make them just coz they're bored...and their topics are more advanced and less asked

Parth (parthkohli):

@rebeccaskell94 made one too

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i thought those were questions? lol

mathslover (mathslover):

right ! thanks for tagging me @ParthKohli .. i will also say for @UnkleRhaukus he made indirect tutorials :) he answered many of his questions on his own : hence i said Indirect tutorials :)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

a lot of others have made one..like @myininaya

Parth (parthkohli):

Something for all the people who have made tutorials. \(\color{Blue}{\Huge \cal{CHEERS!}}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mathslover i made some indirect tutorials unconsciously :D

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

i also had some fun adding adding geometric proofs to a algebra tutorial mathslover wrote http://openstudy.com/users/mathslover#/updates/4fe12f7ce4b06e92b8705c79

mathslover (mathslover):

Yes that is why i included @UnkleRhaukus in my list ... he is just great

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i originally planned to make my anti-vampire proof a tutorial but it flopped hahahah lol

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

there was even a tutorial somebody made about tutorials, but i can't seam to find a link to it

Parth (parthkohli):

lol, it was lgba who made that one.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/4ff0464ee4b0389b6ee03af1 it's in my profile lol @UnkleRhaukus

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

i see it now @lgbasallote, i diden't make it to the botom of the page the first few times

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

yeah...no one's really interested to see the bottom of my profile :p lol

Parth (parthkohli):

Only stalkers, like me.

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

i was looking for Questions asked an i was gonna scroll through them all, but you have conveniently kept a link to them in the comments section.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

haha yup :D

hero (hero):

By definition, a tutorial is a book, a computer program, a video, or in this case, an online article that gives instructions on how to do something, most commonly in math or computer science. About.com has an abundance of tutorials of a wide range. Khan Academy, Patrick JMT, Educator, and YouTube has an abundance of math tutorials.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol @Hero you are absolutely correct.
