Why is it that "The formation of an alcohol when an alkene reacts with water in the presence of an acid is an example of a hydrolysis reaction." False?

I answered true, because on my flow chart of organic rxns, it shows that alkenes, with the addition reaction with halogens and water, becomes an alochol...

Normally they don't call it hydrolysis reaction, they use 'Addition reaction'
